One of my favorite things at the Christmas markets in Graz is to try different types of punch, eat something salty, and finish with a sweet and festive dessert.

Last Christmas, I gave you my heart… 🎵 Sorry, this Christmas song has been stuck in my head, playing again and again…

Coming back to the sweets…

Last year, I walked through many markets looking for the dessert I wanted. Finally, at the Christmas market in Franziskanerplatz, I found the Sweet Point stand.

This year, you won’t have to search like I did because I’m here to share everything I’ve learned about the sweet treats at the markets. 👏👏👏

When I finally found a stand with the sweets I was looking for, I happily went with the mini pancakes covered in chocolate. It was such a hard choice because the Kaiserschmarrn looked amazing too! This year, I think I’ll treat myself to the traditional Austrian dessert—it’s going to be so much fun deciding!

In addition to my beloved mini pancakes, served with powdered sugar, chocolate syrup, or fresh fruits, Sweet Point offers an incredible variety of treats on the menu, such as:

Sweet Crêpes: freshly made and filled with Nutella, juicy strawberries, whipped cream, or even Kinder Bueno pieces.

Kaiserschmarrn: a modern twist on the Austrian classic, served with pralines and fresh fruits—perfect as a dessert or a sweet snack.

Bubble Waffles: soft and flavorful, topped with Nutella, fresh fruits, or even Italian sorbets.

Waffle Sticks: a quick and delicious snack with toppings like white chocolate, strawberries, and shredded coconut.

This year, you can find Sweet Point at the Christmas Market in Franziskanerplatz, where all these delicious treats are waiting for you.

If you’re craving their sweets outside the Christmas season, Sweet Point also has a year-round store at Südtiroler Platz 9. It’s the perfect place to satisfy your sweet tooth any time of the year.

Beyond Sweet Point, the Christmas markets in Graz offer other must-try treats, such as:

Baumkuchen: a delightful layered cake that’s as pretty as it is tasty.

Traditional sweets from Steiermark: a taste of authentic local flavors.

Warm churros with fillings or toppings like caramel and dulce de leche.

No matter your favorite dessert, you’ll find plenty of options to indulge in while exploring the Christmas market circuit. Personally, I like to start at Jakominiplatz and then wander through the streets around the city center, soaking up the festive atmosphere.

Make your Christmas in Graz even sweeter by exploring these markets and trying all the delicious treats they have to offer!
